World Cup alpine skiing: Women's downhill at Lake Louise

vendredi 2 décembre 2016

Click on the video player above on Friday at 2:15 p.m. ET to watch women's alpine skiing action live from Lake Louise, Alta.

Lindsey Vonn is still recovering from right arm surgery and won't be competing at the hill she's dominated for more than a decade to the tune of 18 career victories.

That leaves the door wide open for fellow American Mikaela Shiffrin and defending overall champion Lara Gut of Switzerland to battle for top spot on the podium.

Also looking for a big finish will be Canadian skiers Candace Crawford and Valerie Grenier.

The downhill event continues on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. ET, and the super-G discipline goes on Sunday at 12:45 p.m. ET.

You can catch more alpine skiing coverage on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET and Sunday at 4 p.m. ET on Road to the Olympic Games, our weekly show spotlighting the best high-performance athletes from Canada and around the world.
