Led by Justin Kripps and Jesse Lumsden, Canada earned a two-three finish in the two-man and Kaillie Humphries took bronze in the women's event at World Cup bobsleigh in Lake Placid, N.Y., on Friday.
Kripps' sled is now first in the overall standings.

The American team of Steven Holcomb and Sam McGuffie finished at the top of the podium with a time of one minute 49.47 seconds.
Kripps and Lumdsden clocked in at 1:49.74, just .27 seconds back of the winning sled and .01 seconds ahead of Spring and Lascelles, who finished in 1:49.75.

It is the sixth time Holcomb has won gold in the last seven international two-man races in Lake Placid, with one of those victories coming in the 2012 world championships. The other five wins have been in World Cups.
Bronze for Humphries, Appiah
Meanwhile Jamie Greubel Poser and Aja Evans Evans finished their two runs in 1 minute, 52.02 seconds, setting a track record along the way to a gold medal on home soil.
Elana Meyers Taylor and Lolo Jones took silver for the U.S. in 1:52.16, while the Canadian team of Kaillie Humphries and Cynthia Appiah were third in 1:53.05.
