Road to the Olympic Games: Diamond League track and field

Three Canadians will attempt to regain pre-Olympic form at the penultimate Diamond League event of the season.

Leading the way is Mo Ahmed, who faded down the stretch in the 5,000-metre race at the Rio Olympics to lose his grip on a potential bronze medal.

Melissa Bishop of Eganville, Ont.,  missed a bronze medal in the 800m event in Brazil by 13-100ths of a second.

Phylicia George, who will race in the 100 hurdles, probably arrived in Zürich with the most confidence, coming off her victory at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Poland on Sunday, where the Markham, Ont., resident's time of 12.88 seconds matched her winning time at the Canadian Olympic trials in July.
