Canadian Olympians celebrate Thanksgiving, big Jays win

It's Thanksgiving in Canada, which typically means family gatherings, way too much turkey and some form of pumpkin dessert.

While some Canadian athletes enjoyed a traditional feast, others remained hard at work, so let's take a look at how some of Canada's finest spent Turkey Day.

Pan Am basketball champion Kia Nurse gave a shout out to her "squad" for Thanksgiving.

Tennis pro Genie Bouchard rocked her Team Canada gear for the holiday.

While it's never easy to work on the holidays, for athletes like Kim Gaucher, it helps to be surrounded by your second family.

A few Team Canada athletes were thankful for more than just turkey this year as the Toronto Blue Jays advanced to the ALCS on Sunday night.

Olympians weren't the only Canadians cheering on the Blue Jays. NHL player Matt Duchene enjoyed a sports-filled Sunday.

Toronto's big-league teams sent their well wishes to Canadian fans.

And the Blue Jays made sure to remind fans exactly why they should be thankful.
