Canadian athletes jump on Blue Jays' post-season bandwagon

mardi 4 octobre 2016

What's the best part of sports in Canada? Camaraderie.

Canadian athletes are showing their support for the Toronto Blue Jays as they face off against the Baltimore Orioles in a winner-take-all showdown.

Although these athletes play a different sport, they do share one thing in common: the honour of representing their country.

When you're Canadian and the Blue Jays bring post-season baseball back to Canada, you jump on their bandwagon. Olympian Perdita Felicien understands the process:

Luke Wilson, Canadian tight end for the Seattle Seahawks, was pointing the spotlight onto the Blue Jays and starting pitcher Marcus Stroman.

And many other Canadian stars reiterate that it's not what sport you play, it's the country you represent.

Tonight's game will also mark the first time the Dome will be open in post-season history.

It's all about history in the making for the Toronto Blue Jays in tonight's wild-card game.

One thing the Canadian MLB team doesn't need to worry about is the support of its nation.

It has your back, Blue Jays.
