Step aside turkeys, you might be on the dining table this weekend but the Blue Jays are on Canadians' minds after a nail-bitting 7-6 win and series sweep of the Texas Rangers that will see the Toronto team play for the American League Championship.
A Happy Thanksgiving indeed.
Many a Jays fan might add Josh Donaldson's mad dash home to victory to the list of things that they're thankful for today.
The MVP's 10th inning double and sprint home on a wild throw from Rougned Odor will likely be relived at dinner tables across the country tonight.
Feel free to take another glorious look right now.

That's right the Jays won, and one failed Hail Mary appeal aside, the initial reaction was a little something like this.

A clean sweep, that's right, Toronto beat their longstanding bat-flip rivals in three straight games in the best of five series, and after the pure joy was probably expressed, Toronto fans started to get a little cheeky.
Remember when this happened?

You were probably living in Siberia for a year if you don't.
It started with the bat flip a year ago. It continued in the Jays first series against Texas this season when the Rangers' Rougned Odor's fist met Jose Bautista's face.
Earlier this year Texas second baseman Rougned Odor punched Jose Bautista in the jaw after the Blue Jays slugger slid hard into second base. (Richard W. Rodriguez/Star-Telegram via Associated Press)
Jays fans were not pleased to say the least, but now after last night's win, this fan poster probably sums up fan sentiment best.
To add insult to injury, it was Odor's bad throw to first that Donaldson scored on and won the game.
So essentially Odor's error ended his team's season.
Jays fans sure took notice and relished the mistake, from the guy who punched Joey Bats. They made all of the jokes.
Haha!!! Thank you Odor! No punchline required!#Sweep#BlueJaysVsRangers#LetsGoBlueJays#OurMoment#ALDS#HappyThanksgiving

I have so many Rougned Odor jokes. 99% of them are bad. But not as bad as that throw to 1st.

Meanwhile at the Rogers Centre, fans and players showed that they sure know how to celebrate.

The Blue Jays will get a bit of a break this week before the American League Division Series starts on Friday.
They will face off against either the Boston Red Sox or Cleveland Indians. Right now Cleveland is ahead in the series 2-0.
