Phil Kessel burns Team USA after loss to Canada

mercredi 21 septembre 2016

Just when you thought the storyline ended with Team USA getting eliminated from contention at the World Cup of Hockey on Tuesday night...

...Phil Kessel tweeted.

The Pittsburgh Penguins winger is no social media guru, but when he does decide to tweet, it's gold.

And just like that, it's the Phil Kessel show all over again:

Kessel won the Stanley Cup in June with the Penguins and was questionably left off the Team USA World Cup of Hockey roster. But who's laughing now?

Based off that tweet, it may be Phil and his dog.

Playing devil's advocate, Kessel would have ultimately been "unavailable" for the tournament due to required surgery on his hand in July.

But that's none of our business.

The Americans suffered their second defeat at the World Cup on Tuesday in a 4-2 loss to the host Canadians. They will play their third and final game against the Czech Republic on Thursday.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
